Has Science Buried God?
A common perception of people who consider themselves non-religious is that in the modern “age of science”, the idea of God is “old fashioned”, “irrelevant” or simply “silly”. Some consider that religion actually hinders the progress of mankind and is “anti-science”.
In this famous debate, John Lennox (Professor of Mathematics (emeritus) at the University of Oxford and Fellow in Mathematics and the Philosophy of Science at Green Templeton College, Oxford) debates Richard Dawkins (English ethologist, evolutionary biologist and author. He is an Emeritus Fellow of New College, Oxford) on the subject “Has Science Buried God?”
The distinguishing feature of this debate is the deep exploration of the meaning of life viewed from the point of view of the Atheist world view vs the Theist/Christian worldview.
